Christina, how did you get into silversmithing?

I have always loved art painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and working with my hands. I got into silversmithing when I saw a class offered at a local community center in Sonoma valley CA where I was born and raised. I fell in love with jewelry because it was using materials from the earth; silver, gold gemstones and creating wearable art. I like the idea of making something you could wear and not just hang on the wall. From there I studied abroad in Scotland, Havasu and at the gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad California.

Where do you find inspiration for your work?

Life is full of inspiration, a song, nature, an idea that pops into your head. Endless possibilities. Sometimes the item creates its self, I start with an idea but it changes In the process.

What's your favorite part of operating your own business?

My favorite part of operating my own business is being able to create some thing unique with my hands.

Do you have a dream project you've always wanted to make?

One idea recently is a chain with many unique turquoises from different mines. It would be expensive so as of now it is still just an idea…

Do you offer custom orders? What’s the easiest way to shop with you?

I do offer some custom orders when I have the time.
