What is your art form?

We create Hornfeathers. Hand carved feathers out of antlers and horns to be worn as pendants,  earrings and bracelets. As well as work rare minerals and gem stones.

How did you get into this craft?

When my wife Lori found a job in Oatman AZ, I met a man named Jimmy Hornfeather, who was also working there. He sat me down and showed me his way of life, using what nature provides him for jewelry and other personal items. We worked together for a little over 2 years and he moved on, leaving me to gladly continue his style.

What is your favorite piece you’ve made?

My favorite piece right now are the rattlesnake vertebrae spinner pendants. These are actually my first and are the rarest of what we created because you don't just come across unruly rattlesnakes.

What can FF goer's expect to see at your Featured Artist booth?

FF Goers can expect to see a more rattlesnake wears. A new line of fireagate jewelry, inlaid and/or wire wrapped. We'll also have completed pedant and earring sets from steer horn, elk and deer antler and crystals.

Visit E.L. Hornfeathers’ Pop Up inside YardCity on Feb. 7th from 6-9PM.
